The command center hummed with an electric tension as I paced the length of the room, my eyes fixed on the flickering screens before me. Each step echoed with a sense of anticipation, a building crescendo that threatened to burst at any moment. This was it, the pivotal point in MY grand plan, the moment that would reshape the destiny of both the Anunnaki and the humans.
I turned to my engineers, their faces illuminated by the glow of their consoles. – “Status report,” – I barked, my voice cutting through the low murmur of conversation.
“All systems are green, Lord Enlil,”
one of them replied, fingers dancing across the keys.
“The Black Knight Satellite is in position and awaiting your command.”
A slow smile spread across my face, a cruel twist of the lips that spoke of the dark satisfaction welling up within me. The Black Knight, my secret weapon that had lain dormant for eons, waiting for its great moment.
Suddenly, a crisp voice crackled through the comms, breaking the tense silence.
“Lord Enlil, this is Nergal. Do you read me?”
I leaned forward, my heart racing with a mix of excitement and trepidation. – “I hear you, Nergal. What news do you bring?”
There was a pause, a heartbeat of silence that seemed to stretch into eternity. Then, Nergal’s voice returned, tinged with a hint of triumph.
“Operation Raging Black Knight is a success, my lord. The satellite is primed and ready to unleash its furious power. That I’m sure…”
I felt a rush of elation, but there was something in Nergal’s tone, a hint of hesitation that gave me pause. – “What aren’t you telling me, Nergal?” – I demanded, my voice sharp with suspicion.
Nergal’s response was measured, carefully chosen.
“My lord, due to the immense energy required for the upcoming attack, the Black Knight Satellite will be rendered useless after it fires. It’s a one-time use attack.”
I considered this for a moment, weighing the implications in my mind. A single shot, a single chance to strike. It was a risk, but one that I was willing to take.
“Are you certain that the satellite will perform as expected?” – I asked, my voice low and dangerous.
Nergal’s reply was immediate, tinged with sly confidence.
“I am sure, Lord Enlil. The mark it leaves will be unforgettable, a scar upon history that will endure for generations to come.”
I nodded, a grim satisfaction settling over me. – “Very well. Return to the base immediately, Nergal. We have much to prepare.”
As the comms fell silent, I turned to my sidekick engineers, their faces etched with a mix of excitement. – “What of the diversion attacks?” – I asked, my voice sharp with impatience. – “Are they proceeding as planned?”
One of them nodded, a quick, nervous gesture.
“Yes, my lord. All bombs have been successfully deployed, and they seem to have drawn the attention of Marduk and his forces. And…”
He hesitated, glancing at his console.
“It appears that Inanna’s shuttle is returning to Babylon.”
A savage joy surged through me, a dark, twisted glee that threatened to consume me entirely. – “Excellent,” – I hissed, my eyes gleaming with malevolent intent. – “Let them scurry back to their precious city, let them cower in fear as they watch their lineage crumble around them.”
I began to pace once more, my mind racing with the possibilities that lay before me. – “Inanna,” – I spat, my voice dripping with venom. – “I hope you’ve made your goodbyes, dear niece, for soon you will be an orphan, bereft of the guidance and love of your precious parents.”
I threw back my head and laughed, a harsh, grating sound that echoed through the command center. – “The Anunnaki wanted to return home, to abandon this world and its people to their fate. But I will not have it, I will not allow them to escape the consequences of their actions.”
My eyes narrowed, a cold, calculating glint shining within their depths. – “No, they will stay and be the chaos and destruction that they have sown. And when the dust settles, when the fires have burned themselves out and the screams have faded to silence, I will be there, standing tall amidst the ruins, the true lord and master of this world.”
I turned to my engineers, my voice low and commanding. “Prepare the Black Knight for firing. The megaship should be about to take off. The time has come to unleash the Raging Black Knight upon it, to show them the true power of Enlil.”
As they scrambled to carry out my orders, I stood before the main screen, watching as the world turned slowly beneath me. A world that would soon be forever changed, a world that would tremble before the might of Enlil, with a handful of Anunnaki to defend it.
The Raging Black Knight was coming, Tiamat’s first real strike… and with it, a new era of darkness and despair. An era that would be forever remembered as the time when Enlil, the great and terrible, brought the world to its knees and claimed his rightful place as the one true god of the planet.
I stood before my loyal soldiers, a wicked grin spreading across my face as I revealed the ace up my sleeve. – “Behold, the weapon that will bring our enemies to their death!” I declared, my voice echoing through the hidden base. – “A powerful EMP device, capable of disabling any technology, even a ship as mighty as the one Ninki commands up to the skies.”
The soldiers murmured amongst themselves, their eyes wide with awe and anticipation. I reveled in their admiration, feeling the power coursing through my veins. – “We will bide our time,” – I continued, pacing before them like a predator stalking its prey. – “We will wait until their ship takes flight, until they think they have escaped our grasp. And then, we will strike!”
I clenched my fist, my eyes blazing with a fierce determination. – “We will blast their ship out of the sky, watching as it plummets to the ground in a fiery blaze. Let them all burn for their betrayal, let them feel the wrath of Enlil!”
The soldiers erupted in cheers, their voices rising in a cacophony of bloodlust and vengeance. I basked in their devotion, knowing that they would follow me to the ends of the Earth and beyond. – “Prepare yourselves,” – I commanded, my voice cutting through the din. – “The time of reckoning draws near, and we must be ready to seize our destiny.”
“Oh Enki… You sentimental old fool. Did you really think I would let you and your precious crew to live happily ever after? No, I will tear your world asunder, I will watch as everything you hold dear crumbles to dust.”
