S3E03: Audience

The journey to the pyramid complex is long, but the landscape keeps my mind occupied. Our royal caravan winds through the desert, the sun beating down as we travel under its relentless gaze. My loyal guardsmen ride at my side, ever watchful for threats that may lurk in the barren wastelands.

At night, we make camp and huddle around the fires for warmth. It is here, staring into the flickering flames, that my thoughts drift to ponderings beyond mortal ken. Gazing upwards, I behold the moon shining full and bright, its pale radiance casting the dunes in an ethereal glow.

How wondrous that the Anunnaki in their ingenuity crafted such an object to orbit Earth, not only illuminating the nights, but regulating the rhythmic cycles of life itself. The scope of their capabilities humbles me, even having grown up amongst their kind. Truly we humans have much to learn from these ancient beings.

As we draw nearer to the pyramid complex, I feel the hairs on my neck stand on end. Their imposing bulk looms on the horizon, both thrilling and ominous. How many eons have they stood here, long before my people walked the earth? Built by unknown hands, they now serve the Igiggi as generators distributing Anunnaki technologies below ground.

It is in those subterranean halls that I was born and raised, before being brought to the surface realm of men. I remember the cold sterility of those underground cities, the recycled air evaluated for purity before we were allowed up into the sunlight and open sky. A caged bird who thought the whole world was metal and stone.

But I am here now on urgent business for the Anunnaki, bearing an invitation for Lord Enki himself. With fortune’s favor, he will return with me to Babylon and hear Nanaya’s proposal for revealing the source of the psychic attacks. My wife’s wisdom has given us hope of healing the rift. I must steady my mind and complete the task at hand.

The air hums with power and mystery as I make my way through the veiled halls of the pyramid complex to meet with Lord Enki. Despite growing up under the Anunnaki’s care, an audience with one of the great Elders always fills me with excitement and awe.

I find Lord Enki in his laboratory, surrounded by humming machines and flickering lights. He greets me with a warm smile, but I can see the fatigue weighing on his ageless features. The recent troubles have taken a toll, even on one so mighty. I give the customary bow of respect.

Nabu: “Lord Enki, thank you for granting me audience. I come on an urgent matter, one I believe may aid you in unraveling the mystery of the psychic attacks plaguing our people,”

Enki’s gaze sharpens with interest.

I explain Nanaya’s proposal to use his great wisdom and fortitude to safely trace the source of the assaults, protected within Babylon’s secure palace. Enki listens intently, nodding.

Enki: “Your lady’s council shows great wisdom, young king. I would be eager to meet with you both and discuss this further.”

Enki replies. His voice is kind but firm.

I bow my head gratefully.

Nabu:”You honor us beyond measure with your trust, my lord. Nothing would make Nanaya happier than to have her idea validated by your wisdom.”

Enki: “Then let us depart swiftly for Babylon. Truth be told, I have missed the company of your father Marduk and your aunt Inanna. It will be good to see them again.”

Nabu: “I cannot thank you enough, Lord Enki. By accepting this invitation, you give us all hope of healing the rifts plaguing our people.”

Enki clasped my shoulder warmly. It was an odd feeling of recognition to have his huge hand gently patting my back.

Enki: “It is hope that leads the way through even the darkest nights. Come, we shall take my ship and be in Babylon by day’s end.”

As we stride towards the landing platform, I feel confident that with Enki’s wisdom and Nanaya’s insight, we will uncover the truth and restore unity amongst the Anunnaki once more.

As the engines of Enki’s sleek starship thrum to life, my thoughts turn to my beloved Nanaya. Her wisdom and intuition never fail to impress me, like a compass pointing true north. If anyone can devise a solution to lift the darkness plaguing the Anunnaki, it is her.

My faith in Nanaya’s insight is absolute. By proposing to trace the source of the psychic attacks through Enki’s fortified mind, she has given us a path forward amidst the shadows. I know in my heart that her plan will bear fruit. Enki’s vast experience and mental resilience make him uniquely suited to undertake this perilous journey while staying safe from harm.

Together with Nanaya, we will piece together this puzzle and restore unity to our people. Come what may, I have utter confidence that her peerless intuition will light our way through the darkness. Our love and trust in each other will give us strength for the challenges ahead. With hope and courage, we shall overcome.
