S2E5: Project EDEN

Walking around the compounds of Project EDEN I now see that it is a good thing that I am the one calling the shots here. I am Enlil, the almighty lord after all, right?
The decision to take control of this project was not one I made lightly, but it was necessary to ensure that Enki and Ninki’s influence over the new species is limited. Their emotions and attachments to these creatures could jeopardize the efficiency and stability of our operations on Earth.

Not sure I already buy this whole idea as a solution.. Why do we need actual intelligence on a species that is created just to mine gold is beyond me.
I must admit, I find this interbreeding solution rather repulsive. Resorting to mingling our advanced genetic makeup with that of Earth’s primitives feels like a degradation of our superior lineage. It’s true that the obnoxious brat Inanna put up a good show and the example led a lot of female Anunnakis to do the same… degrading and repulsive. However, in light of our urgent need for a labor force capable of assisting in our mining operations, I was forced to set aside my personal distaste for this undertaking.

As of now, we have successfully created over 30 viable human subjects within the controlled environment of Project Eden. They are coupled in pairs as soon as they reach maturity, ensuring efficient reproduction and population growth. While my emotions are irrelevant in this matter, I cannot deny the effectiveness of this method. These new humans, devoid of the suffering and flaws of their predecessors, show promise in fulfilling their designated roles without questioning our authority.

Just a few years in on this venture and it appears that Project EDEN’s controlled environment is bearing fruit. The new humans are displaying exceptional physical capabilities and an obedient demeanor. They have taken to the tasks assigned to them with unparalleled dedication, and I must commend the success of our meticulous genetic manipulations. My initial skepticism regarding this project is beginning to fade. Perhaps there is a pragmatic wisdom in embracing this new species as an indispensable part of our operations on Earth. They prove useful in mining operations, as far as our tests go, and other labor-intensive tasks, relieving some of the burdens placed upon our own kind. Soon they will be rather independent and just following orders as expected.
However, I remain vigilant. The humans’ seemingly compliant nature may be deceptive, and I must not let my guard down. I suspect that Enki and Ninki may attempt to gain some level of influence over this new species covertly, and I shall not tolerate any disruptions to our carefully established order… and the brat Inanna has gained full access to them all and this bothers me a lot.

Just a few years have passed and… The success of Project EDEN is undeniable, Inanna’s team just interbred them with the primitive natives and we will reach our goals rather quickly if they independently start raising their numbers. The human population will grow exponentially, and they have proven themselves to be a valuable asset to our operations. They have adapted well to the tasks assigned to them, allowing our efforts on Earth to proceed smoothly.

My suspicion of Enki and Ninki has not waned. I remain vigilant, monitoring their every move to ensure they do not meddle in affairs beyond their station. Their attachment to the humans is a potential weakness, and I shall not hesitate to take decisive action should they attempt to undermine my authority. In conclusion, Project EDEN has proven to be a necessary and effective solution to our labor needs on Earth.
You know I may have been too harsh on the sweet brat Inanna. For the last couple of years we interacted a lot and she is really showing promise, maybe she is unlike her frail mother. I like her determination… I even find it funny when she tries to boss me around.

A curious observation has emerged from the development of Project EDEN. It seems that these humanoid pets have a natural inclination towards mysticism and spirituality… who would have thought?
While their primitive minds struggle to comprehend the advanced technology surrounding them, they seek solace in belief systems beyond their understanding. This revelation presents an opportunity for manipulation and control. If we, the Anunnaki, were to present ourselves as gods, beings of superior power and knowledge, we could cement our dominance over these creatures. By instilling a deep reverence and fear of us, we could ensure their unwavering loyalty and obedience.

In light of this, I have devised a plan to implement a religious framework around the Anunnaki. I shall carefully craft myths and legends that depict us as divine beings, creators of their world and masters of their destiny. This fabrication will serve as the cornerstone of their belief system, tying their fate inexorably to our own. The implications of this undertaking are profound. By becoming their gods, we can mold their societies and civilizations to serve our interests. These human pockets will be our loyal subjects, carrying out our will and furthering our goals across the planet.

This strategic manipulation will not only guarantee control over the humans but also shield us from potential revolts or rebellions. For as long as they believe us to be omnipotent and creator beings, they will remain loyal and submissive. And when they rebel, they will be their own police, they will quench their own rebellions in the name of whatever Anunnaki we assign to that civilizational pocket.
