S2E1: Genesis 1
Several years have passed since our arrival on this remarkable planet called Ki. That essential Council day is long gone in memory, our battles were new but I feel we will have a breakthrough.
As I stand here overlooking the vast expanse of the E-DEN Complex, I can’t help but marvel at the progress we have made. The settlement has grown into a bustling Anunna city we came to call Eridu, a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of the Anunnaki.
One of the challenges we faced upon arriving on Ki was adapting to its unique timekeeping system. Our home planet, Nibiru, had its own concept of days, months, and years, but here on your Earth, we decided to embrace the natural rhythms of this magnificent world. We aligned our calendars with the rising and setting of the sun, the waxing and waning of the moon, and the changing of the newly balanced seasons. It was a decision that brought us closer to the heartbeat of this planet. Enlil was not happy, but soon came to realize how easier it was then to organize all troops and security schedules.
To facilitate our scientific endeavors and further the research on genetic manipulation, I have established a special underground laboratory near the mining operations at E-DEN. It is here that Ninki, my beloved and brilliant Chief Scientist, can concentrate on developing her groundbreaking plan to manipulate the genetic makeup of the primitive natives we have come to call Nam-lu-ulu, or humans. The laboratory is a marvel of technological sophistication, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and staffed by the finest scientific minds from our expedition. Ninki spends countless hours meticulously studying the genetic structure of the natives, experimenting with a few selected specimens, fascinated by their similarities to the ancient Lyran race and driven by a deep curiosity to unlock the potential of their untapped genetic code.
As I watch Ninki immersed in her work, I am filled with a sense of pride and admiration. Her passion and dedication are unparalleled, and I have no doubt that her manner will inspire Inanna!
Ah, Inanna, my precious daughter!
She continues to grow almost reaching adulthood.
I grew with her in the shadows of our hidden world.
Ninki orchestrated a clever plan to protect our daughter from the prying eyes of Nibiruan society and corporative rules. She feigned a false affair with a fellow scientist, intentionally positioning herself as someone deemed “unusable” by the strict standards enforced by Enlil and the hierarchy. It was a sacrifice on her part. Years passed where the shame was buried deep within her work and her motherhood. A sacrifice that saved her from being forced into marriage with Enlil, my always present brother.
Through this ruse, Ninki ensured her freedom to nurture Inanna and allowed me to play the role of a devoted shadow father. It is in those stolen moments, away from the watchful gaze of our people, that I can truly cherish the bond I share with my daughter. I have watched her take her first steps, heard her laughter fill the air, and marveled at the spark of uniqueness in her eyes. She is a constant reminder of the love that exists between Ninki and me, a living testament to our shared destiny on this new life.
It brings me immeasurable joy to witness her development, to watch as she takes her first steps into the corporation and utters her first victories as a respected community member. Her spirit is vibrant and curious, a reflection of her mother’s intellect and my own sense of adventure. Though the world remains oblivious to our connection, I find solace in knowing that I can be a part of her life and that she has come to accept this secret of ours.
Our interactions are carefully orchestrated, hidden amidst the complexities of our daily lives, and while it pains me to keep our connection veiled from the world, I know it is a necessary sacrifice to protect her and preserve the delicate balance of our mission.
In the quiet moments, when the weight of responsibility momentarily lifts from my shoulders, I steal away to be with Inanna. I teach her about the wonders of the cosmos and the vastness of knowledge that lies beyond our reach. I marvel at her unyielding curiosity, her thirst for understanding. She is the first of our race allowed to be born outside our homeworld. She is Ki’s soul in the Anunnaki. A beacon of hope, a symbol that transcends the boundaries of our lineage and reminds me of the boundless potential within each and every one of us.
In the depths of the laboratory, Ninki delves into the mysteries of genetics, tirelessly experimenting with different techniques and methodologies. Her goal is to harness the immense potential within the human genome, unlocking hidden abilities and capacities or creating new ones that could benefit both our species. It is a bold endeavor!
With each passing day, Ninki’s research progresses, inching closer to the realization of her vision. And while challenges and obstacles undoubtedly have taken place, I am confident that her brilliant mind will prevail.
The culmination of years of research and tireless dedication has led us to a breakthrough, a milestone that I believe will forever alter the course of our mission here on Ki. In the depths of our laboratory, amidst the hum of machinery and the glow of monitors, Ninki and Inanna have finally achieved a viable path towards creating the first functional human after so many failures.
Our understanding of the Nam-lu-ulu’s genetic code has deepened, and with it, our ability to manipulate it. Ninki’s brilliance has unlocked the intricate patterns that define their existence, unraveling the mysteries of their potential. I am filled with anticipation and trepidation as I prepare to present our groundbreaking achievement to Anu himself, the leader of the Anunnaki. This momentous occasion will not only demonstrate the fruits of our labor but also showcase the limitless possibilities that lie within the realm of genetic manipulation.
With Anu’s blessing, we are granted the opportunity to continue our work, to refine our creations, and to usher in a new era of harmony and prosperity for both our kind and the Nam-lu-ulu. The weight of this responsibility settles upon my shoulders, but I carry it with pride and a sense of purpose.
