S1E8: Lyrans Legacy

Journal Entry 541A.

Planet Prince, ENKI

My team and I have been scouring the shallow seas that cover a vast extension of sandy valleys to the northwest of our settlement. We travelled miles and miles with the scout ship for the last few days in search of any remnants left by the ancient alien race known as the Lyrans. Our mission is to locate and examine these structures to see if they can be activated, in order to harness telluric energy for our communications array.

Despite the harsh conditions and heavy rains, the excitement of potentially discovering advanced alien technology left by an extraterrestrial  civilization drives me forward. Our research suggests that the Lyrans were here over 20,000 years ago and left behind advanced pyramidal structures that could be reactivated to provide a source of energy beyond our current capabilities. That would be a valuable asset until the moon drags the tides.

We have been following ancient maps supplied by the Igiggi and deciphering cryptic symbols left by the Lyrans on planet Maldek, which have led us to this remote corner of the world. As we trek through the shallow seas, I can’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the possibility of encountering technology that could change the course of our expedition.

As we round a large sand dune in the middle of the shallow seas, we suddenly spot a large structure glimmering in the distance. It appears to be made of shining white limestone with a golden metal top that glimmers in the sun. Excitement courses through me as we quicken our pace towards it.

As we approach, the structure reveals itself to be a massive pyramid-shaped structure, with intricate patterns etched into its surface, sided by 3 other smaller versions of itself that are half covered by the sea. We carefully plan our way inside, using our tools to scan the walls and the surrounding area for any signs of life or energy.

Suddenly, we hear a faint hum coming from deep within the bigger structure. My heart races with excitement as we follow the sound and energy readings, and eventually come across a large avenue filled with glowing crystals on top of several obelisks. It’s clear that this is some sort of energy derivation system, and it appears to be functioning.

We work quickly to analyze the obelisks and try to learn how to activate it, carefully following the symbols etched into the stone obelisks themselves. After a few tense moments, the energy begins to flow, and I feel a rush of exhilaration as the avenue comes to life and lights up the way to a underwater stone statue.

Our mission to harness the energy of the Lyrans has finally begun, and I can’t wait to see what other mysteries lie hidden within these ancient structures and understand what the statue represents.
