S1E16: The Natives
Transcript
Journal Entry 925A – Research Expedition, day 6.
As Enki and I approach the territory of a primitive native tribe, a sense of curiosity and scientific wonder fills our alien hearts. These beings, resembling Lyrans yet distinct in their physical characteristics, present a perplexing puzzle that demands unraveling. They have body hair much like we do, but they are small and show so many similarities with the forbidden race of the Lyrans.
We observe their behavior from a safe distance, careful not to disrupt their way of life. We decided to come up with a proper name for this species. Nam-lu-ulu seemed appropriated as they seem to come from undefined origins, but today you call them humans.
The natives, or Nam-lu-ulu, exhibit a communal structure, living in caves and relying on their collective strengths to survive. Their primitive tools and rudimentary language indicate a level of intelligence that sets them apart from other beings we have encountered, though Enki told me there are other variants of the race he was lucky to find.
Enki activates our advanced scanning devices, capturing data on their genetic makeup. The results astound us. The natives indeed share similarities with more than one of the known races but bear distinct genetic markers that differ from any known species to us. Their DNA appears ancient, as if a remnant of a long-lost civilization or a unique evolutionary divergence.
Our scientific minds race with hypotheses and questions. How did this species emerge on Planet Ki? They are most likely as alien as we are to this planet… What evolutionary forces shaped their development? Could they be remnants of a forgotten alien civilization, isolated and left to evolve independently? Could they be Lyran’s experiments?
To further our understanding, we set up concealed observation posts, equipped with state-of-the-art technology to study the natives tribe without intruding upon their lives. We document their social interactions, hunting techniques, and their ability to adapt to the natural challenges of their environment.
The Nam-lu-ulu, or humans, possess physical traits distinct from ancient Lyrans. Their robust frames and pronounced brow ridges speak of a life deeply connected to the demands of survival. Their communication is simple yet effective, utilizing a mix of grunts, gestures, monotonic syllables and a limited vocabulary. It is a language born out of necessity, designed to convey information essential for their survival.
We spend hours analyzing their hunting methods, witnessing their strategic teamwork as they bring down their prey and organize the community with primitive farming and basic cooking. Their cooperative nature and division of labor hint at a level of social complexity that surpasses their primitive tools and technology. It is a glimpse into the intricate tapestry of their society, woven through necessity and the shared pursuit of survival.
We have so many questions. The answers lie hidden within the intricate web of their DNA, awaiting further analysis and investigation. With each passing day, we delve deeper into their world, striving to uncover the truth that lies at the heart of their existence.
Planet Ki has once again revealed its enigmatic nature, captivating us with its mysteries and challenging our understanding of life itself.

Journal Entry 926A – Research Expedition, day 8.
As we continue our scientific study of the Nam-lu-ulu on Planet Ki, I find myself pondering the stark biological differences between their species and our own. In this entry, I will provide a comparative analysis to add to all the data we have collected, shedding light on the unique characteristics of my race, with its transhumanist features, in contrast to the humans.
First and foremost, the physical dissimilarities are striking. As an individual of my race, a Nibiruan, I tower over the humans, standing nearly three times their height. This stark contrast in size is a result of the divergent environmental conditions our respective species evolved and adapted in. My home planet, characterized by lower gravity, provided an environment that allowed for the development of taller, more slender physiques. In contrast, the Nam-lu-ulu, shaped by their own planet’s gravitational forces, possess a more robust and stocky build, optimized for survival in their environment. This will change in due time given that we provided a proper gravitational force with the new moon.
Another notable distinction lies in our skin tones. As individuals of my race, our pale skin reflects the conditions of our home planet, which receives significantly less sunlight than Planet Ki. This adaptation allows for optimal absorption of the limited light available, a necessity for our survival. In contrast, the humans possess darker skin tones, much like the Lyrans, presumably an adaptation to the higher intensity of sunlight on Planet Ki. This divergence in skin pigmentation underscores the influence of differing environmental factors on our respective races’ evolution.
Moreover, our races exhibit notable variations in sensory perception. Having evolved on a planet with reduced light, my race possesses highly sensitive vision adapted for low-light environments. Our eyes are equipped with enhanced night vision capabilities, allowing us to navigate and perceive objects in conditions where the humans may struggle. Conversely, the humans visual acuity is likely adapted to the brighter light conditions on Planet Ki, enabling them to perceive details and colors more effectively in their environment.
Transhumanist features further distinguish my race from the natives, obviously. Our bodies are enhanced with advanced biotechnology, providing us with increased physical capabilities and resilience. For instance, our superior strength and agility enable us to maneuver effortlessly in Planet Ki’s challenging terrains. Additionally, our ability to regenerate tissues and organs allows for accelerated healing and recovery from injuries, far surpassing the biological regenerative capacities of the Nam-lu-ulu. And then… there is aging, by all accounts I do not believe the natives are able to last longer than five decades.
It is important to note that these biological differences should not be viewed through a lens of superiority or inferiority. Rather, they exemplify the remarkable adaptability of life forms to their respective planetary conditions, even if we find proof of them being engineered beings. Both my race and the humans have evolved, adapted and genetically mutated in response to unique environmental challenges or third party interventions, developing characteristics that optimize our survival in our respective habitats.
In conclusion, a comprehensive analysis of the biological disparities between my race and the humans on Planet Ki reveals a myriad of differences. Further studies will confirm or deny our assumptions.

In my continued pursuit of understanding the genetic makeup of the Nam-lu-ulu on Planet Ki, I have devised a subtle plan to obtain a sample of their DNA for further studies. To achieve this, I have meticulously observed their behaviors, patterns, and interactions. Through careful analysis, I have identified a potential opportunity to gather the desired DNA and metabolism sample without arousing suspicion or causing harm to the natives.
My plan entails the utilization of advanced nanotechnology integrated into my own physiology. These nanobots, capable of microscopic interactions, are specifically designed for non-invasive sampling and analysis. By activating these nanobots discreetly within my body, I can carefully approach one human subject and collect data without direct contact or detection.
During one of their communal events, I will position myself strategically, ensuring proximity to ONE individual that usually stands guard in the vicinity, from whom I can discreetly collect data samples.
I will then transfer several bionanobots that will be imperceptible to them. These minuscule devices will be programmed to analyze minute samples of saliva, hair follicles, or other genetic material for days to come. All data will then be carefully extracted and stored within my nanoreceptors for subsequent analysis.
It finally happened… a remarkable encounter transpired that left me in a state of both astonishment and curiosity. It was a moment where the boundaries between our worlds momentarily blurred, evoking a sense of awe within the human subject.
As our eyes met, time seemed to momentarily stand still, and an air of wonder engulfed the surroundings. The Nam-lu-ulu, an adult male distinguished by his robust physique and weathered appearance, stared at me with a mix of surprise and fascination.
Recognizing the significance of this planned encounter, I instinctively activated my holographic projection capabilities. Luminescent patterns played across my suit and as the holographic light danced and shimmered, a soft glow emanated, casting a mist into his nostrils… and the bionanobots transference occurred in a matter of seconds.
The human, initially taken aback by my presence, slowly approached, driven by a blend of curiosity and fear. His eyes widened, pupils dilated, as he reached out, his hand hesitantly extended toward me.
As he drew closer, I subtly adjusted the gravitational field around me, creating a gentle push that avoided any kind of touch. The human was puzzled, with an outstretched hand, he cautiously stopped, his expression a mixture of amazement, reverence, and fear.
In that poignant moment, I felt the weight of responsibility upon me. I represented not just an alien presence, but a potential catalyst for unforeseen results.
I gradually phased out the holographic projection and with a final gaze of mutual fascination, we parted ways, each carrying a newfound sense of awe and the knowledge that our paths had momentarily converged for the benefit of us both.
